We’re recruiting – Transforming Data Advocacy Associate
We’re looking for a part time consultant to support us in advocating for a data revolution in finance that serves people and planet.
In 2020, the Lab launched a new programme – Transforming Data – to ensure that the data revolution in finance works for everyone in society, and the environment. We have engaged over 100 third sector organisations, fed into the UK’s Fintech Strategic Review, and established the Open Finance Working Group. But there is much more to do!
The Transforming Data Advocacy Associate will work with the Head of Programmes to develop the Lab’s influencing strategy to progress the policy agenda outlined in our report Lifting the Lid on Fintech (December 2020). They will also help advocate for this agenda on behalf of the Lab and contribute to strengthening the Transforming Data Network – a growing coalition of civil society organisations and responsible finance providers.
We are looking for someone with an understanding of the failings of the current financial system and the social and environmental opportunities and risks the use of data and tech present. The right candidate will have experience and expertise in policymaking in finance or tech, advocating in the UK context, and will have established networks across the third sector, policymaking and media.
Our ambition is to start this work as soon as possible from February 2021 and look forward to hearing from you if you have an interest in this exciting opportunity.
