The Lab announces three new financial systems change pioneers as Senior Fellows.
The Lab’s Senior Fellows are a special group of community members who have shown great support for the Lab and have made a significant contribution to building a financial system that serves people and planet. They represent some of the most inspiring and visionary leaders and thinkers in financial systems change including innovators, campaigners, writers and academics. Existing Senior Fellows include writer and economist Christine Berry, special Advisor and former Director of Corporate Strategy of Triodos James Vaccaro and Reema Patel, the Head of Engagement at the Ada Lovelace Institute.
We’re really happy to be expanding the group with three new Senior Fellows:
- Anna Fielding: Anna is a specialist in economic systems change and was the Lab’s inaugural CEO until April 2020. Her achievements while CEO of the Lab include launching the world’s first incubator for purpose-driven financial innovation, developing a full suite of programmes for financial systems change, and establishing the Lab as a global thought leader. She is now a Senior Advisor at the Economic Change Unit and Senior Associate at Cohere Partners.
- Nonhlanhla Makuyana: Nonhlanhla is an educator, creative and new economics organiser. They are a co-founder of Decolonising Economics, a grassroots collective working to build a new economy movement that is rooted in racial justice principles and decolonial struggle. Their work involves investing in communities of colour who are working to build an economic democracy, including through the Resourcing Racial Justice coalition. Nonhlanhla has supported the Lab community since 2018, including developing the foundational strategy for the Lab’s People of Colour in financial innovation initiative.
- Faith Reynolds: Faith is an Independent Consumer Representative on Open Banking and a strategic advisor to industry, government and regulators on fintech. She works to create products and services consumers get genuine value from and love using. She is a Non-Executive Director for the Current Account Switch Service and Fair4All Finance. Faith’s work with the Lab includes partnering on initiatives related to data ethics and Open Banking, and supporting Lab Fellows.
We look forward to continuing to work closely with Anna, Nonhlanhla, Faith and all our Senior Fellows to transform finance for people and planet.
