The Finance Innovation Lab responded to the government’s Call for Evidence issued as part of its development of a Financial Services Growth and Competitiveness Strategy. We register concerns with growth and competitiveness as goals of the strategy as regulating for the finance sector’s growth and competitiveness risks undermining the broader Industrial Strategy. We argue for more focus on finance as a means to power the green transition as an alternative approach
