For The Better 2021 is open for entries!
Applications are now open for For The Better – our annual award offering free communications expertise and support to an organisation in our community that is transforming finance for people and planet.
For The Better is our award for financial systems-changemakers in partnership with specialist communications agency Teamspirit – and it’s back for 2021. Launched in 2018, the award offers a purpose-driven financial organisation the opportunity to increase their reach and impact with £10,000 of pro-bono marketing and communications support from Teamspirit’s award-winning team.
The communications support offered is tailored to the needs of the awardee, including but not limited to strategy, creative campaign ideas, public relations, user experience (UX) and social media. Last year, Teamspirit worked with debt and money advice provider Fair Money Advice to help them challenge the stigma around debt. Together, they crafted a narrative about the importance of talking as the first step to taking control of debt, and created compelling social media content to help get the message to those who need it. Previous winners include mutual bank Avon Mutual, who worked with Teamspirit to develop a brand positioning and messaging framework, and female financial empowerment platform Vestpod, who doubled their Instagram following and secured high-profile press coverage.
This year, the award will focus on purpose-driven banking organisations including ethical banks, mutual banks, credit unions, community development finance institutions and building societies. We’re looking for a purpose-driven banking institution who wants to use communications to help them realise their ambitions and transform finance for the better. If that sounds like your organisation – we want to hear from you!
Applications for For The Better 2021 are open now until 30 April. To apply, fill in the short application form, detailing why your organisation deserves to win this award and what difference it would make to your work. The winner will be announced in May, with the support from Teamspirit commencing soon after.
