On 20 June, we convened female leaders, influencers and pioneers from the Lab’s community to uncover the common barriers and challenges we face, understand their root causes, and identify what changes could empower all women working in financial innovation.

We’re proud of the brilliant and talented women we’ve had the opportunity to work with over the years. Unfortunately, the number of women leading financial innovation in our programmes and in general is still unacceptably low – and we want to do more to address this.

What we learnt at the event will be hugely valuable in helping to make our programmes – such as Lab Fellowship – as inclusive as possible, as well as advocating for wider change in finance and fintech.
