The Transforming Data Network is building the power of third sector organisations, including consumer groups, civil society organisations, and responsible finance providers, to advocate for financial policy and regulation to put good outcomes for people, communities and society at their heart, particularly in the context of rapid technological change.
This event was an opportunity to map the current policy landscape relevant to the use of data and tech in finance, identify opportunities for influence, and meet like-minded people who want to make sure the future of finance works for everyone.
In April 2021, we hosted a fringe event at UK Fintech Week that explored why and how fintech could be developed in a way that includes civil society, and addresses financial inclusion and the climate crisis. At that event, we heard that the Fintech Strategic Review intended to prioritise financial inclusion, and that additional work is now underway to develop policy in this area. This Network meeting was an opportunity to discuss how the third sector can find out more about this work and get involved in particular.
Please note this network is open to third sector organisations or representatives only.
