The Pensions Revolutions: Driving growth through sustainability

May 19, 2025

5pm - 6pm

Location: Houses of Parliament

We co-hosted an event in the Houses of Parliament with the APPG on Sustainable Finance, focused on how the government can make our pensions system work better for people, the planet and the economy.

The roundtable was chaired by Anna Gelderd MP, and involved speakers Zainabb Hull (campaigner at Platform, and coordinator of the UK Divest network), James Alexander (Chief Executive at UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association), and George Dollner (Policy Lead at the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association), as well as our own CEO, Jesse Griffiths.

While the speakers all came at the issue from different starting points, they agreed on the opportunity for the government to link its landmark pension reforms to the UK’s green economy ambitions and climate and nature targets.
A briefing note with more information about what was discussed at the event can be found here. If you would like to find out more about the campaign for fairer, greener pensions please email marloes@financeinnovationlab.org.
