The Fair Banking for All Campaign wants to hear about your experiences of borrowing money and using banking services, at a 1 hour online workshop. You’ll receive a £20 voucher as a thank you for your time.
We’re looking for people who have struggled to access important banking services, this could mean:
- You’ve been declined for a loan.
- You’ve used payday loans or unlicensed lenders when you’ve needed to borrow money (this could be a friend or acquaintance, someone known in your area for lending money, or a loan shark).
- You’ve not been able to open a bank account.
You might also have had a more positive experience with your credit union or other local lender, we’d love to hear about that too. If you’re interested in joining the workshop please register your interest here. Places are limited, so we’ll be in touch with you to let you know whether or not you’ve got a place.
The Fair Banking for All Campaign is a group or organisations calling for a new law, a Fair Banking Act. This would make sure that everyone can have fair access to banking services, like affordable loans. The workshop will be held on Zoom with a small group of other people from across the country – we’ll ask you some questions and discuss your experiences. We may use what you say in the discussion to support and shape the campaign, but we won’t share any details which could identify you personally.
If you have any questions, or you’re interested in being involved but can’t make the workshop, please contact Sam and Kay: sam-kay@financeinnovationlab.org.
